"So what’s special about the restaurant that we’re going to?" - asked my Japanese friends when I took them to Cung Đình (name of restaurant) last week Despite having known the restaurant since childhood, I paused a while to find the answer.
I could've told my friends that I wanted them to try a traditional Vietnamese home-style dinner: the tradition of having different dishes to eat with rice and to share with other family members. Most of the dishes at this place are what Vietnamese are brought up with; what helped shape the Vietnamese cuisine.
