One benefit of starting work early in the morning is to try dishes that I’d rarely woken up early enough to try. The breakfast menu in Da Nang is much more diverse than I expected, especially the awesome hidden collection of sticky rice.

Madame Lân restaurant: great décor, good Viet food

Madame Lan is a newly open restaurant located at the beginning of Bach Dang street. Its brilliant architecture is reminiscent of traditional Vietnamese buildings with red roofs, yellow walls, wooden tables and chairs. Personally I think it is inspired by the Hoi An ancient town and the old quarters of Ha Noi. Even in its busiest days, you will have no problem finding a nice space for yourself, indoor or outdoor.
The menu features a large selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes, all are carefully cooked and served. I am often attracted to "bánh hỏi thịt nướng" - one of my favourite Southern dishes:
Flat rice vermicelli (bánh hỏi) with grilled pork, greens and a light dipping sauce. Yum!
